Pupil Premium and Sports Premium

Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.

The school received the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years: £1,455 for pupils in reception year to year 6.

A £10 voucher will be issued via email from Edenred to parents of pupils who are entitled to Free School Meals to cover the cost of lunches within February half term holiday.

This is provided and funded by West Sussex County Council.

Any parents who have not received their voucher by Wednesday 31st January please contact the school office.

Sports Premium

Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6.

Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.

This means that we should use the premium to:
  • develop or add to the PE and sport activities that the school already offers
  • make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
The plan below outlines our use of the Sports Premium.
